Reading tweets is likely to be the most common thing you do in Tweetie. Tweetie exposes a number of handy shortcuts to make the experience more efficient.
When scrolling through the list, you can tap anywhere on a tweet to view more details, or do a left → right swipe across a tweet to bring up a special menu.

From this special menu, you can Reply, view Links in the tweet, view User Details, Favorite, and More. The More menu offers a ton of options, including retweeting and emailing the tweet. To dismiss this menu, just keep scrolling the list.
You can tap on a tweet to go to the Tweet Details page. Here you have the same options as the swipe menu, and if you're viewing a tweet that you posted yourself, a Delete button.

Tap anywhere in the upper area to view user details.
Back to the tweet list, there are two more gestures that are handy to know. The first is a way to scroll to the top of a list. Simply tap the status bar at the top of the screen to jump to the top of the list. (Hint: this should work with every app on the iPhone).

The second gesture is the way to manually refresh the list. First scroll to the top, then tug down on the list until the arrow points upward. Then release your finger.

Notice at the top of any tweet list, there is a search field. Tap on it and you can live-filter your stream.

You can read more than your own tweets, one of the great things about Tweetie is that it's easy to explore what other people are saying. When you're viewing a user profile, you can use the tab bar at the bottom to switch between their Profile, the user's Recent Tweets, Recent Mentions, and Favorites.
